Influencer who promoted weight loss dies after gastric surgery
An influencer who inspired her followers to fight obesity passed away due to complications from gastric sleeve surgery.
Magnolia Morales, 26, had 20 surgical procedures and went into cardiac arrest following the original operation.
After developing intense abdominal pain, high blood pressure, and breathing difficulties, she was transferred to the Culiacán Civil Hospital in Sinaloa State with only a 10% chance of recovery, according to her sister.
Despite regular updates on her weight loss progress, Magnolia passed away on 6 January.
