Emma Claiir, a popular Australian influencer, has lost her partnership with skincare brand MCoBeauty after admitting to killing two cats during her childhood. Emma, who is 28 years old and a mother-of-one, apologised for her actions and expressed her regret.

The confession was made during an episode of the podcast she co-hosts called Simply Chaotic. Emma stated that she accidentally killed her cat while swinging it around like a stuffed toy, and also killed her best friend's cat. The comments received immediate backlash, and Emma initially dismissed them as "a bit of light humour." However, MCoBeauty quickly announced the termination of their partnership with the influencer on Instagram in response to the controversy.

The statement reads: “It has come to our attention that Emma Claiir recently relayed a story on her podcast discussing an incident of animal cruelty from her childhood.

We were dismayed by this story, and will no longer be working with Emma in future.

Here at MCoBeauty, we take instances like this extremely seriously and do not condone animal cruelty of any kind.

Thank you to all of those who have taken the time to bring this situation to our attention”.

Emma later issued a more sincere apology, acknowledging the seriousness of her actions and expressing empathy for those affected by them.
